Meet the professor

Dr. Sergio Lopes Viana

Musculoskeletal radiologist in Brasília with over 20 years of experience and a particular interest in imaging in rheumatology and pediatric musculoskeletal imaging. A member of the International Skeletal Society, he has extensive experience as a speaker at national and international events and is the author of books and chapters of reference books in Brazil and abroad and of scientific articles in leading journals. He works as a preceptor for interns and residents in a highly complex hospital (tertiary/quaternary), where he is also a member of the pediatric bone tumor group. Since 2019, he has produced online continuing medical education courses on the Advanced MSK platform.

Guest Professor

Dr. Kay Hermann is an Associate Professor of Musculoskeletal Radiology at Charité University in Berlin, an internationally renowned researcher and a world authority on imaging in rheumatology, with a focus on arthritis and spondyloarthritis (axial skeleton and peripheral joints). Founder of the BerlinCaseViewer project, he integrates innovative technology into medical education. An active member of ASAS, ESSR, DGMSR and DRG, he has received the Conrad Wilhelm Roentgen (2011), Felix Wachsmann (2014) and DVMB (2015) research awards.

It is a highly focused work on Rheumatology, covering both traditional themes and emerging topics of increasing interest in research and daily practice, illustrated with over 600 carefully selected images.
